岐阜県根尾村(現・本巣市)に爛漫と春を告げる樹齢千五百年の桜があります。その名は「淡墨(うすずみ)の桜」。奇跡のように樹齢を重ねたその桜は、継体天皇お手植えの桜と伝えられています。いまに朽ち果てようとしていた「淡墨の桜」。その老桜を救うために奔走したのは、宇野千代でした。見事に蘇生した「淡墨桜」は、「日本三大桜」となりました。悠久の時を生きた「淡墨の桜」。その奥深く上品な姿、美しさを想い、創り上げたお線香です。黒地に上品な桜の花をあしらった巻紙でお包みしたお線香が5把入ったコンパクトサイズのご進物。優艶な桜の香り。天然白檀を配合しています。

In the village of Ne-no in Gifu Prefecture (now part of Honjo City), there is a 1,500-year-old cherry tree that announces the arrival of spring in full bloom. It is known as 'Usuzumi no Sakura.' Legend has it that this cherry tree was planted by Emperor Sujin himself. The 'Usuzumi no Sakura' was on the brink of decay and disappearance, but Chiyo Uno tirelessly worked to save it. The resurrected 'Usuzumi no Sakura' is now considered one of Japan's three great cherry trees.
